The Dumbbell Nebula M27, a Planetary Nebula where the central star is coming to the end of its life and throwing off great clouds of glowing gas. This was taken using a Refractor Paul was reviewing for the BBC Sky at Night magazine for the September 2006 edition. This image was taken on July 14^th 2006 and is a stack of 10 images taken at 1600 ISO and 60 seconds with a 4" F9 Refractor.
