For the 2008 edition there are 40 pages (inc. the covers) compared with 36 in the 2001 edition (and 32 in the 2000 edition) with each month having an all sky chart set for 10pm local time (11pm during BST) with information on what planets are visible, any special events such as Meteor showers or Eclipses and a section on what stars to look out for that month. It also has photographs that I have taken of the night sky as well as extra diagrams drawn by myself for special events to look out for such as conjunctions of the moon & planets which are of particular interest.
