Nova, Super Nova and SNR (Super Nova Remnant).

Nova are stars that suddenly brighten up then fade back to normal again. Supernova are stars that brighten because they effectively blow themselves to bits and once the fade they either disappear from sight or leave behind an expanding cloud of debris that we see as a Super Nova Remnant (SNR). This album also includes Super Novae imaged in other galaxies.
